How a Tuition Assignment Works

Understanding the process helps tutors apply confidently and manage expectations clearly before lessons begin.

Review Assignment Details Before Applying

Each tuition assignment includes key information such as subject, level, location, preferred schedule, and proposed rates. Tutors are encouraged to review these details carefully before indicating interest.

Apply Only for Assignments That Match Your Profile

Tutors should apply for assignments that align with their subject expertise, teaching experience, and availability. Applying selectively increases the likelihood of a successful match and smoother coordination.

Rates and Schedules Are Confirmed Before Lessons Begin

Before the first lesson, agreed rates, lesson duration, and schedule are confirmed clearly between tutor and parent. This ensures transparency and mutual understanding from the outset.

Types of Tuition Assignments Available in Singapore

We offer a range of tuition assignment opportunities across different academic levels and subjects in Singapore, allowing tutors to apply based on their expertise and experience.

Primary School Tuition Assignments

Assignments at the primary level typically cover core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science. These roles often focus on foundational learning and exam preparation for upper primary levels.

Secondary School Tuition Assignments

Secondary-level assignments involve subject-specific teaching, including Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, and Languages. Tutors are expected to support students in deeper conceptual understanding and exam readiness.

JC and A-Level Tuition Assignments

These assignments require strong subject mastery and familiarity with advanced curricula. Tutors guide students through more complex topics and structured exam preparation.

IB and IGCSE Tuition Assignments

Assignments for international curricula require familiarity with syllabus frameworks and assessment formats. Tutors with prior experience in IB or IGCSE programmes may find suitable opportunities in this category.

Polytechnic and University Tuition Assignments

Higher-level assignments may involve specialised subjects and modules. These roles typically require tutors with strong academic backgrounds or relevant field expertise.

Adult and Language Tuition Assignments

Language and adult learning assignments vary in focus, from conversational skills to exam-based preparation. Tutors may be matched based on language proficiency and teaching approach.

Who Can Take Up Tuition Assignments

Our tuition assignment listings are open to tutors from different backgrounds, provided they meet the subject and level requirements of each request.

Part-Time Tutors

University students and recent graduates may apply for assignments that match their academic strengths and availability. These roles are often suitable for foundational subjects and lower to mid-level students.

Full-Time Tutors

Full-time tutors who provide tuition as their primary profession may take up assignments across multiple levels. Their experience in structured lesson planning and consistent teaching support is often valued by parents.

Ex or Current MOE Teachers

Ex or current MOE-trained educators may apply for assignments that require familiarity with national examinations and syllabus expectations. Their classroom experience can be beneficial for students preparing for major assessments.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Tuition Assignments

Below are common questions from tutors who are exploring opportunities in private tuition in Singapore and would like clarity on how assignments are managed.

How do I apply for home tuition assignments through your agency?

You may review the listed tuition assignment details and indicate your interest if the subject, level, and location match your profile. Our coordinators will assess suitability before shortlisting tutors for parents’ consideration.

How soon can I start receiving private tuition assignments after registration?

The timeline depends on subject demand, level, and location. Some tutors receive opportunities quickly, especially in high-demand subjects such as Mathematics and Science. In other cases, it may take time before a suitable match arises.

Can I choose between primary school tuition and secondary school home tuition assignments?

Yes. Tutors may apply selectively based on their experience and preference. For example, some specialise as home tutors for primary school students, while others focus on secondary school home tuition for specific subjects.

What qualifications and experience do parents typically expect from tutors?
